Separating some good blood

Non Americans, who love the Rodriguez/Tarantino flicks and undoubtedly looking forward to the forthcoming release of “Grindhouse” Should get ready to yell out a big “What the Hell!”. Confirmed today by Miramax that the 3 hour homage to the exploitation films of the 1960’s and 70’s is to be presented as two separate features. “Planet Terror” and “Death Proof” are to be separated, in which the fake trailers during the intermission may be missed out when the films are released in other countries.

This alternative version comes as a result of poor box office results in USA, with many film goers complaining about the duration of the combined feature.

Tarantino’s “Death Proof” is not due for general release until September 21^st, in the UK. A date for “Plant Terror” is still undecided.

I personally think it sucks ass, that people who did not make an effort to watch the movie in the USA, have directly influenced how the movie is presented to the rest of the world.

It’s called “Grindhouse” for a reason ,created as a double bill and should remain as a double bill , for people who only want to watch the one feature, well you can always get out of your seat half way through! Now people across the pond will need to purchase 2 tickets and miss the all important fake trailers.
