Good Old Pirate Blood

Pirates of the Caribbean : At world’s end is the third chapter of the pirate trilogy. At World’s End is directed by Gore Verbinski, the director of the previous two films. The following actors return with Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Bill Nighy, Geoffrey Rush, Jack Davenport, Tom Hollander and Naomie Harris. Chow Yun-fat makes his first appearance as Captain Sao Feng, one of the film’s antagonists.

Following the end of second film “Dead Man’s Chest”, At World’s End shows to be the epic finale of the franchise which also includes special guest Keith Richards, the legendary guitarist who inspired the Jack Sparrow character, ‘The Rolling Stones” man will rightly play sparrow’s own father. Just as impressive is the introduction of Chow Yun-fat’s character which I sure will bring a completely different element to the third feature.

The first two have grossed almost $800 million domestically, the release of At World’s End seems like its going be the blockbuster of the year just behind Spider-man 3. As far as I can see it looks like all three films together will consist of a fine trilogy. However there could be the risk of it being to good, so good to spawn other sequels that may not live up to the original trilogy and ruining people’s expectations. But Mr Depp has went on the case to say he would only return as Jack Sparrow if the story is worth telling, which is fair enough.
