The good Shepherd DVD

The good Shepherd is now released on DVD, Robert de Niro second film as a director starring Matt Damon Angelina Jolie, William Hunt Alec Baldwin, Billy Crudup, Michael Gambon, Timothy Hutton, Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro appears in the film as well.
It is a fictional film that loosely based on real events, telling the untold story of the birth of counter-intelligence in the Central Intelligence Agency. Edward Wilson (Matt Damon) is loosely based on James Jesus Angleton. Richard M Bissell Jr is based on William hurt’s character, Phillip is based on Allen Dulles and General Bill Sullivan, played by Robert De Niro, is Loosely based on Colonel William Joseph Donovan.
The film received mixed reviews; it was given 55% from rotten tomatoes, which is a certification of “Rotten”. The film did however receive positive reviews for the performances.

De Niro has been praised for his direction.
